Nashua Children’s Home

A CARF accredited non-profit organization, Nashua Children’s Home has a century-long tradition and a history of responsiveness to community needs. In 1899, Josiah Fletcher donated property on the corner of Burrett and Brook Streets in Nashua to the First Baptist Church “for the purpose of maintaining a home for orphans and destitute children of Nashua and vicinity.” The agency commenced operation in 1903 as the “Nashua Protestant Orphanage Association,” administered by a Board of Directors representing all of the Protestant Churches of Nashua.

Our Programs

Why your help
is needed

41 summer day camp registrations

288 birthday gifts for kids who live here throughout the year

275 group activities per year out in the community

Preparing aged out youth for life on their own.

The month of May marks 20 years since we began our Transitional Living Program (TLP). Funded entirely by donations, this important program provides safe and affordable housing for those teens who age out of the system at 18 years old.
These young adults are provided with apartment style living accomodations onsite next to our main building. Without this transition out of Nashua Children's Home, these kids would otherwise be at risk of homelessness.
We are proud of this program and all that it does for young people just starting out in the "adulting" world!
We would especially like to thank the generous support of our donors who keep this program going, and our Transitional Living Director, Lea Reilly, for all that she does preparing these kids for life on their own!
