Retirement Asset Donation

A retirement asset donation is a donation made directly from an IRA, 401(k), and 403(b) to a qualified charity, like Nashua Children’s Home.

Common retirement asset giving donations are qualified charitable distributions (QCDs), or charitable IRA rollovers. In fact, you are able to designate a qualified charity as the beneficiary on most retirement accounts through the plan administrator, and this has certain estate tax advantages. Individuals aged 70½ or older may be able to make a tax-free charitable gift directly from an IRA, which can count toward required minimum distributions.
